Kiran Das

I have done my B.Sc. from Bareilly College, Bareilly and M.Sc. in Zoology from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow. After qualifying CSIR-UGC-NET as JRF, I joined BM’s Lab through CBMR Ph.D. program. My research work is focused to investigate the role of RGS11 protein in stress-induced multi-organ physiology.

Manish Kumar

I obtained my postgraduate degree in Zoology from Maharaj Ganga Singh University, Bikaner, Rajasthan, in 2018. In the same year, I successfully qualified for GATE-XL &CSIR-JRF. To embark my research journey, in 2021, I became a member of BM’s lab. My current research endeavors revolve around investigating the role of FNDC proteins in mediating chemotherapeutics-induced cardiac hypertrophy and fibrosis, with a focus on identifying it as a potential therapeutic target.

Mr. Arghya Acharyya

I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from RKMVCC, Rahara, in 2022, followed by a Master’s degree in Life Science and Biotechnology from Jadavpur University in 2024. In February 2024, I joined B.M.'s laboratory as an intern for a duration of three months, during which I developed a keen interest in molecular cardiobiology. In June 2024, I qualified the CSIR-NET Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and subsequently joined the same laboratory as a doctoral fellow in December 2024 through the Bose Institute PhD program. My Ph.D. research is focused on elucidating the functional role of SNX-RGS proteins in stress-induced cardiac physiology, with particular emphasis on their regulatory mechanisms in cellular signaling pathways under pathological conditions.

Chetna Rai

I pursued my postgraduation (M.Sc. Zoology) from University of North Bengal, West Bengal . I qualified for CSIR-JRF, West Bengal SET, GATE-XL in 2022. I joined BM’s Lab in 2022 and I am 2nd year PhD student. My research focuses on the role of AGS-Proteins in stress-induced multi-organ physiology.

Anushree Lye

I completed my M.Sc. in Zoology from Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University, West Bengal in 2020. I have qualified CSIR-NET LS & GATE-XL. After that I have joined BM’s lab in March 2023 as an ICMR project fellow. Presently I am working on the role of Regulator of G protein signalling 17 in onco-cardiology phenotype.

Mr. Abhishek Singh Sengar

I am resident of Gwalior (MP). I have obtained my master degree in Microbiology from Jiwaji University Gwalior in 2017. I have qualified CSIR-UGC-NET December 2018 (AIR-46) and in the same year I have also qualified MP state level eligibility test. I have joined the BM's lab for the PhD, given my immense interest in cell biology and G-protein signaling systems in it. My work is related to how G-protein functions to regulate cellular physiology..

Ms. Madhuri Basak

I am from West Bengal. I have done my B.Sc from North Bengal University and M.Sc from the University of Calcutta. After qualifying CSIR NET, I joined the BM lab in June 2018 through CBMR PhD program. My project deals with how RGS6/Gb5 functions to modulate cellular senescence.

Mr. Tarun Mahata

After completing my post graduation from Vidyasagar University I have joined BM's lab in September 2018 through CBMR PhD program. My project focuses on G protein regulation of stress induced cardiomyopathy and fibrosis.

Ms. Sreemoyee Chakraborti

After finishing my masters in 2015 from the University of Calcutta, I joined the BM laboratory in August 2015. I am CSIR NET and GATE qualified. My research direction is to identify the impact of Gb5 protein in cardiovascular regulation. In addition, I am also working on how long term use of different stimuli (NSAIDs, alcohol, angiotensin II and chemotherapeutics) can cause cardiovascular complications and the underlying G-protein dependent & independent mechanisms.

Mr. Arnab Pramanick

I completed my M.Sc from the University of Calcutta in 2014 and joined the BM laboratory in August 2015 with CSIR fellowship (Rank 21). My research focus is to dissect the pleiotropic role of RGS6 in breast tumour suppression with special emphasis to identify the mechanism of loss of RGS6 and its impact on hypoxia induced epithelial to mesenchymal transition.

Shreya Mallick

I completed my M.Sc. in Zoology from the University of Calcutta, West Bengal, in 2023. I have qualified CSIR-NET JRF (December 2024, AIR 83), GATE (XL), and WBSET. I joined BM’s Lab in July 2025, through the Bose Institute Ph.D. program. My research focuses on investigating the impact of microplastics on the physiology and functional integrity of vital organs.

Pallobi Khatua
